Military Family Support Committee
Formed prior to the first deployment of WI National Guard 264th ENG BTL in 2002, we are here to meet the needs of active military families, especially those not located in a 'military community' such as the National Guard or Reserve.
We are dedicated to assisting the family members who remain at home while their soldiers, sailors, Marines, and airmen attend to the nation’s safety and security. Locally we can offer some peer group counseling to help deal with the day-to-day stress of being 'alone', the concern for our far-off loved ones, and direct support for those minor disasters that happen when someone is gone and you don't know what to do.
As part of the American Legion Family we have direct access to American Legion Posts throughout Wisconsin as well as the American Legion Dept of Wisconsin and the American Legion National HQ. Because several of our committee members belong to other veterans' organizations we also have access to AMVETS and VFW assistance when needed.
If you have a family member deployed remember,
you are NOT alone. We are here to help.
